Thomas describes what his tax advisor doesn't write down — the alarms at half two, the cancelled holidays, his five-year-old son nodding like he understood that cows need milking in August too.
I have a tax advisor who comes once a year and explains to me what I earned. That's usually not a long appointment.
What he doesn't write down: the call at half past two because the milking robot sets off an alarm. The week in March when all four kids were sick and my wife still did the bookkeeping because I couldn't. The holiday in 2019 we cancelled because the weather wasn't right and the wheat wasn't dry yet. The holiday in 2021 for the same reason. My son Lukas asking me why we never go to the sea and me explaining that cows need milking in August too, and him nodding like he understood, even though he was five.
None of that is in the balance sheet. That doesn't make the balance sheet wrong. It's just a different document.
