Raven-black night. The light play of lanterns, cars and the illuminations of shops long since closed give color to the dark night. The stars glitter in the sky just like the crescent moon that shines tonight like never before. A breeze of wind loosens the leaves the trees offer as a gift. A refreshing cool night surrounds my warm body, the gentle stillness with the chirping of crickets. Relaxation. My thoughts, quiet but there. City night so quiet yet so alive all the same, all the lights, all the people walking past us. Peaceful, so beautifully peaceful. The night tells so many stories, among them the still-glowing windows of the apartment buildings. Arguments, laughter, tears, love. City night so unique.
