Between Earth and Heaven

During meditation, the narrator is lifted by unseen presences into a realm of pure light, unconditional love, and divine peace that feels strangely familiar. The experience carries a cosmic lesson: like a battery, a human being needs both positive and negative charges to remain grounded and vital. The story closes with a quiet philosophical question about the role of darkness in human life.
I sat down to meditate.
As usual, they appeared beside me. They stood behind me, and each of them placed both hands on my shoulders.
“So, would you like us to show you what’s out there?”
“Where exactly?” I asked, as though I didn’t understand what they were talking about.
“Well, isn’t that why people meditate? To see what lies beyond the boundaries of their consciousness.”
“All right,” I calmly agreed.
And immediately, I felt four hands holding my shoulders, slowly lifting me upward.
I could feel our 28-story apartment building, where I had been sitting in the lotus position on the ground floor, beginning to dissolve into space, as though clearing a path for me toward the cosmos.
At first, everything was dark. But the higher we rose, the brighter it became. Eventually, everything around me was illuminated by a brilliant light.
A gentle, all-pervading warmth seemed to dissolve the very boundaries of my existence.
And there was another feeling, one that is almost impossible to put into words — an unconditional, infinite Divine Presence.
No fear. No doubt. No anxiety.
Only absolute acceptance, love, and peace.
Large tears rolled from both my eyes at once.
“How I’ve missed this place…” I whispered, barely audibly.
It was a strange feeling. I wasn’t surprised by what I saw. I didn’t try to understand where I was. It was as though I recognized something I had always known, but hadn’t been there for so long that I had almost forgotten.
A place where negative emotions do not exist. Where there is no resentment, fear, pain, or disappointment. Where every feeling carries only a positive sign.
Seeing how deeply I longed for this place, they hurried to tell me:
“For the Earth to hold you, you must be like a battery. Half positive, half negative. It’s the force of attraction. If only the positive charge remains within you, you will ascend.”
P.S. Perhaps we are too quick to rid ourselves of our negative half, without even considering the role it plays in our lives.
After all, a battery deprived of one of its poles has no energy left.
And what about a human being?..
