# Fireside

> Fireside (firesides.world) is a bilingual German/English platform for literary short stories — real, human-written stories spanning memoir, invented fiction, and every genre in between. Reading is free for everyone. Authors can optionally request AI-based editorial feedback ("Lektorat") on structure, tone, and voice — the AI gives feedback only, it never rewrites the text itself.

Every published story is available in both German and English (translated in addition to the original language) and covers themes like work, family, aging, loss, love, and everyday life, written by individual authors from many countries.
